Welcome to Niles Township Government.
Our Township covers all of Skokie, Lincolnwood and Golf and large areas of Morton Grove and Niles, and a small area in Glenview (see the map-link). Our elected officials and staff are dedicated to serving the over 105,000 people in the Township.
We operate a food pantry which is housed in a separate building on the property and serves about 4,000 people on a monthly basis. In order to purchase quality food, we depend upon donations to our charitable foundation – The Niles Township Food Pantry Foundation, a 501C-3 corporation. NTFPFoundation.com
We were the first Township in the State to offer a free prescription-drug card – Coast2Coast, and have saved Township residents over $3 million on prescription drugs, tests, dental costs and even health services for pets.
Our Assessor, and his staff, helped over 2,500 people this year, who had questions about their taxes or wished to protest their taxes.
Our Clerk, and his staff, offers free notary public service and have processed over 1,500 passport applications for individuals who wished to secure passports.
Our social workers provide assistance to those in need who require help with rent, medical bills and utilities.
We are proud of our scholarship programs that offer scholarships to child-care facilities and area day camps for families in need in our community.
We also recently established a scholarship at Oakton Community College for graduating seniors in our District 219 schools.
Our efforts to collect books for children, who could not otherwise afford to own books, is an ongoing program in partnership with Bernie’s Books.
We have an attorney who works with seniors with legal needs. She has been able to assist close to 200 seniors over this past year.
We get letters and calls telling us how meaningful our services have been in the lives of those we serve and I’m so proud to be the Supervisor of a Township that does outstanding work for our community and invite you to explore our webpage for more details on the programs that we offer.
