Mark A. Collins is a graduate of Southern Illinois University and has been a Skokie resident since 1996. He is enthusiastic about his family, friends, career, politics, the environment and especially his community. He is extremely active in his community and very passionate about education. As a Trustee, he has initiated the Niles Township College Scholarship Fund in conjunction with Oakton Community College. He was Vice President of Legislation on the School District 69 PTA Board from 2001 to 2006. He is currently on the Education Foundation for Excellence Board as well as the Skokie Hospital Advisory Board. He continues to be a member of the Advisory Commission on Human Services for the Village of Skokie. He volunteers in many school activities and is a spokesperson for many community events. In his second term as Trustee, he has been liaison and instrumental in the evolution of the stellar Niles Township Food Pantry.
